A common question we hear at the library is, “Can I check out eBooks from you?“  The simple answer is, “No, not from Marysville Public Library.”  However, as a Kansas resident, you may obtain a Kansas Library Card at MPL and quickly start checking out either audio books, eBooks or both.

After submitting your request for a state library card, which takes less than five minutes to process, you are then able to access all kinds of resources online.  Many people want to know what kind of mobile devices are compatible with the state library resources.

OneClickdigital is the content provider for your audio book loans.  OneClickdigital materials are available for all the formats you see listed in figure 1. (Win, Mac, Google Play app for Android, iTunes app, Amazon app store also for Android devices)

If you are inclined to read eBooks, there are currently two options provided by the State Library of Kansas: 3M Cloud eBooks and Freading eBooks.  A third provider of eBooks called Axis360 is also in the works.
